Our experience in streamlined dies, sizing and calibration technology is very deep and is reflected in the consistency and repeatability that our customers have come to rely on over the years. Developing new and innovative extruding processes for our customers are a part of how we maintain our position as a leader in the custom extrusion industry.
Founded in 1949 as Duall Plasticsl, Filtrona Extrusion - Athol, Inc has been serving the requirements of major
end users for plastic profiles and tubing for 50 years. The company currently operates manufacturing and
distribution facilities utilizing in excess of 100,000 square feet in Athol, Massachusetts.
The local community is planted firmly in the heart of the plastics manufacturing capitol of the world with a
broad range of major plastics manufacturing companies located within a 30-mile radius. With the plentiful
supply of plastics expertise in the area, Duall enjoys the luxury of experienced technical and engineering
knowledge always necessary in a continuous improvement environment. The local area also provides a very
capable labor pool and strong work ethic to compliment the abilities of our engineering staff.
In 1997, Duall was acquired by Filtrona International, a worldwide leader in distribution, conversion,
and manufacture of paper and plastic based products. Filtrona Extrusion - Athol has joined its sister
companies in the United States to form Filtrona Extrusion. With each regional manufacturer specializing
in specific industries and/or product lines, the combined resources and synergies have established Filtrona
Extrusion as the premier player in North America. Filtrona Extrusion - Athol has also capitalized on strong
relationships with materials and equipment suppliers to develop innovative technologies and processes unexplored
by its competition.
